In our seventh video chat we catch up again with one of our guest speakers Dr Mike Carmont.
It was great to be able to sit down with Mike and Chris to discuss the forthcoming coaching symposium.
Mike talks about his experience of working within ice hockey and heading up the medical team with the GB Universities Ice Hockey Teams in particular over the last number of World Student Games since 2013 in Trentino, Italy.
He then speaks about his interest in sports and exercise medicine and his lecture at the Symposium which is "injury prevention and management". He also touches on the importance of head injuries and concussion management especially with ice hockey being a collision sport. It should be a fascinating and educational workshop that will support and offer some ideas and guidance for the coaches in attendance.
