Matt Bradbury Sports are pleased to announce a new and exciting partnership with Notts and Arnold Cricket Club and Hawthorne Primary School, based in Bestwood Village, Nottingham.
Notts and Arnold Cricket Club is located on the outskirts of Bestwood Village, Nottingham. It is a 15 minute drive from the City Centre in the countryside and amongst nature - it is a real hidden gem. The Goosedale Sports Club is in the heart of a beautiful 20 acre site lined with trees and home to a trio of sports - Cricket, Hockey and Football.
The main aim of the schools cricket programme is to teach the children cricket skills incorporating hand-eye coordination, catching, throwing, bowling, batting and more.
Emphasis will be put on working together playing as a team, having fun, enjoying cricket whilst learning new skills during their weekly sessions.
Matt spoke about the new programme "School club links are key and being able to create opportunities for young people to take part in sport both inside and outside of school hours is important. It offers the opportunity for children to try a different sport. It also assists in identifying potential talented cricketers of the future."
"This partnership will provide the perfect platform for Hawthorne Primary School & Notts and Arnold to support the growth of the junior members at the club."
Matt concluded "We are working closely with the PE Lead at Hawthorne to deliver a cricket competition at the Goosedale Sports Club site where Notts and Arnold Cricket train and play their home matches. This will enable the children to celebrate and showcase their cricket skills further."
Andrew Claye Head of Junior Cricket said "It will be great to welcome new people to come along and see what our Cricket Club has to offer. We have many young players learning to play cricket and we encourage youngsters to bring their parents with them to see what we are all about."
The on site clubhouse is a fantastic place where members of the community to socialise and meet with their family and friends on training nights or match days for a relaxing drink and/or bite to eat at the bar.
