As a Coach my overall aim is to help and encourage children and young people in schools and communities to engage with others, through participation in sporting activities, as well as acknowledging that sport plays a key role in improving physical health, self esteem and promoting positive teamwork.
I seek to enable others to achieve their potential whilst motivating them to try something different, with the ultimate goal of providing an enjoyable experience.
I have an innovative approach to sports coaching and enjoy working on exciting and challenging new projects.
Having a vast amount of skills and experience working within schools and communities over the past 18 years I have always provided a high quality standard of service.
Urban Hockey is a fast moving, exciting playground sport which is helping children of all ages to engage with PE.
Based on the game of ice hockey, participants learn to stickhandle, pass and shoot like the professionals.
This exciting sport can be played by anyone irrespective of age or ability and is used by many local schools to support their PE lessons.
It has been developed to teach youngsters the basic and fundamental skills of hockey, whilst providing a unique opportunity for children who may not usually get involved in sporting activities.
Matt has brought the urban hockey programme to our school and it has had a huge impact with all children during both their PE lessons and at the after school club. The sessions are really engaging and inclusive for all.
