Ice skating is great exercise and Christmas 2026 will be another exciting time to access the Sky Skate ice path that will let festive fun seekers skate for 220m around the square high above the crowds *

2 LOW LEVEL ICE RINKS FOR CHILDREN TO HAVE FUN AND GAIN THEIR CONFIDENCE TO SUPPORT THEM TO ACCESS THE SKATE PATH SHOULD THEY WISH*

Skating is available for Clubs on selected evenings

• Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6.45 - 8.00pm or 7.25 - 8.40pm **

Evening Club sessions will take place w/c 16th - 18th November, 23rd - 25th November and 30th November - 2nd December and 7th - 9th December 2026.

On Site Ice Rink Amenities For School Bookers

​

Lockers:

We are able to offer larger Club group bookings 3-4 lockers to store belongings.  Please note that we do not accept responsibility for any losses.  Items are left/stored at your own risk.

​

Toilets:

Toilets are available on site for customers use.

​

Staff:

In order to ensure that your group have the best possible experience at our fantastic outdoor ice rink, on ice skating marshalls will be on hand to offer you some hints and tips.

​

Medical staff are on hand at each of the ice skating sessions.

​

Skating Aids:

We provide penguins and polar bear skating aids to encourage the younger less experienced ice skaters.  Note these are for under 12’s only.

Cost:

The actual price for these sessions are £17 for an adult, £14 for an Under 16 and £12 for an Under 12 ***

 

We are able to offer an amazing Club 50% discounted price per club member of only £7.00 (based on an Under 16) which includes skate hire.

Club Leaders skate for free when they book as part of a group (1 Club Leader/Staff free place for every 10 children in your group).  Any additional support staff/volunteers are charged at the schools rate of £7.00 per person.

 

*** In addition to the offer above should you have any additional parents or siblings that may like to join you we can offer 20% discount off the actual prices noted above - Note: all payments are to be made in one payment by your Club (payments on the day will not be accepted and parents/siblings will be charged full price making the necessary payment at the box office, space on the ice is subject to availability).

Transport:

The Outdoor Ice Rink is situated within Nottingham City Centre and it is accessible via Nottingham City Transport buses and the tram.

​

Booking Information:
We require you to book and pay for your skating session a minimum of 5 days in advance.

Upon Arrival At The Rink:
The Club Leader would need to check in their group when they arrive at the main entrance.

Once checked in everyone in the group can then go directly to collect skates from skate hire in preparation for the skating session.

Payment:
Invoice raised to Club by Matt Bradbury Sports, payment is required to be paid in advance of your session via bank transfer (note we do not accept card payments).

* The Sky Path is only for competent skaters no skating aids allowed on the path.

 

** Sessions during this time will also be accessed by the general public.
